Yes, but desires are a tricky thing because if you are motivated by what you want, you will often end up demotivated when you don't succeed. If you focus on what you've already done and get motivated by that, you will more than likely succeed in your goal. This has actually been helping me recently in drawing irl, looking at what you've already done for me is the best way, rather than focusing on desires.
